This Old Tractor

I have been using a 1965 International Harvetor 656 Hydro Static Drive Tractor for primary tillage and mowing. It is about 60 horse power.

I love the hydro stat transmission as it can go very very slow for vegetable transplanting. They just don't make 'em like this any more.

It has been very reliable and easy to repair. I haven't had to fix hardly anything.

I built some links for the three point hitch to allow it to be used with either catagory two or catagory one implements. These have different spacing.

My tractor has a cab so we can use it for snow removal as well. I bought an old blade to use for that.

The only thing I would really like to have that I never got was a front end loader. My neighbor had a John Deere loader and back hoe that I used sparingly for a few years.

The 656 died suddenly and I have been looking for a replacement. More on this in future posts.
