How to Grow Herbs in Minnesota

We have a very cool climate, which needs to be taken into account when growing most vegetables and especially herbs.

Basil and Stevia are especially sensitive to cold. Don't plant them out until after June 1st.

Mint, rosemary, chives, and thyme are very frost hardy and even perennial in Zone 4. They will benefit from some protection and you will be rewarded by additional production.
