Compost or Putting Man on the Moon

If we had spent the money used to put the first man on the moon to develop the technologies to make compost.

Agriculture would look totally different today.

Things like...

  1. Municipal composting equipment and technologies. Turning leaf, grass and other compostable materials into soil amendments.
  2. Composting feedlot manure. Creating stable humus that can be used in building soils.
  3. Perennial polyculture to build fertility.
  4. Grass fed beef.
  5. Vermi-composting of food wastes. Using this fertility on the land surrounding each community.
By the way, these technologies don't cost so much. We could have still gone to the moon with what was left over.
