Andrea is home from college this week and was looking for something to do.
I had her do some tilling and then plant some delicious super sweet...
Sweet corn.
I have learned that to out smart the raccoons we have to wait until others in our neighborhood have planted theirs. The we distribute the population evenly and get some for our selves.
Andrea planted a 72 day variety so we shoul have corn middle of July.
We will plant again in two weeks.
We use an organic fertilizer that cost $25 per 300 foot row so it is a little bit expensive. But it tastes Oh So Good!
